The AW-180E NewAir Wine Cooler With Touch Screen Reviews

NEW LOW PRICE -- TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THIS GREAT OFFER WHILE IT LASTS!
In order to fully enjoy a bottle of wine's true aroma, it's important to keep it at the proper temperature, as serving it too cold will cause it to lose its flavor notes while excessively warm temperatures will speed up the aging process. However, whether you're a budding wine connoisseur or a true oenophile, you don't have to spend thousands of dollars building a home wine cellar. Instead, a thermoelectric wine cooler such as the NewAir AW-180E is a great, affordable way to keep your wine properly chilled.

The NewAir AW-180E thermoelectric wine cooler has an eighteen bottle capacity with digital controls that make it incredibly easy to use. The LED light provides bright contrast and the touch screen on the display is intuitive and easy to control. Moreover, an internal LED light within the NewAir AW-180E wine cooler illuminates for greater visibility so that you know exactly which bottle of wine you are pulling out.

In terms of sound, because the unit's thermoelectric technology involves very little moving parts, this results in vibration-free, silent operation that won't disturb your indoor environment. Lastly, for a touch of sophistication, the racks inside the NewAir AW-180E are chrome-plated.
For an affordable, compact, and easy-to-operate thermoelectric wine cooler with a large eighteen bottle capacity, try the NewAir AW-180E

1.0 out of 5 stars Works well... until it doesn't., August 25, 2010
I bought this just over a year ago - woke up one morning and it wasn't working - no cool air, no led display. No reset button, no apparent way to fix it, other than trying to replace the circuit board in back of the unit. I called the retailer who I bought it from (through Amazon) and they said since the warranty is up, they would do nothing and recommended calling a local repairman.

Even when it was working, I had the unit set at 59 degrees and it never went lower than 63, even when I had my home's AC turned down the lower 70's.

I guess you get what you pay for - I'll be spending more on my next one, and it won't be a Newair.
5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent cooler!, July 19, 2010The wine cooler solved a problem of how best to store a case of red wine. It arrived promptly, but was missing one of its rubber feet. I was able easily to contact a live human customer service rep, explained the problem, and in less than a week the missing part arrived. The temperature is maintained at 55 degrees and any slight hum is ok. So far, we're very pleased with this fine wine cooler.

4.0 out of 5 stars so far so good, June 20, 2010
It came in the factory box so if your buying it as a gift for your wife like I did she will see it. Other wise i let it sit unplugged for 3 hours so it could settle. It was 80F in my house the day i set it up so it took a good 4 hours to get it down to 60 then I decided to lower to its coldest setting this took another hour. Still over 75f in the house at the time and it had 8 bottles in it. so i was kinda making it work hard. Fit and finish it nice and we really like the lighting inside of it. Was it good when you get it it has a heavy plastic smell being new.

7-9-10 my home right now is 80-85 inside and the cooler is running 55-61 even though i have it set at 50. i noticed that it doesnt take much to disturb it's temp. i personally dont think 50 is cold enough, but i dont know if there is proper temp for red wine. i like it very cold

5.0 out of 5 stars A small wine cooler that does the job!, April 9, 2010
We previously owned another brand (that cost over $300) - but that gave us nothing but trouble. After one round of repairs (and hours with customer service), it died again, and we gave up. I did an extensive internet search and found that in the under $300 / medium capacity wine coolers - there didn't seem to be ANY that had great reviews, and I didn't want to spend that much money on another questionable product.

Reviews for the NewAir were consistently good to very good - and the price was significantly lower than $300, so I selected this one. I figured, if it, too, dies, I won't have invested as much.

So far so good! Easy setup, runs great, maintains consistent temperature, external temp and light controls is a nice feature, runs quiet, and has an overall very nice appearance. Can't speak to how long this unit will last as I've had it for just a couple of months, but so far, I couldn't be happier with it.
